Welcome to Bethel church

Who it is for: The evening is for teenagers, from 12 to 15, and for young people from 16 upwards. We meet in two separate groups, so that the discussions suit each age.

How it goes: We study the Bible together, and the evening takes different forms. Sometimes a brother serves us with the teaching of the Word, sometimes we gather around activities and games. There are also evenings of discussion and debate, where we talk about how we live day to day, and evenings given to rehearsing songs. Besides the Monday meetings, there are also outings: we visit other churches, in Belgium or in other countries.

Who it is for: The day is open to everyone, and anyone may invite whoever they wish.

How it goes: We gather at the church between 10:00 and 14:00. It is neither a service nor an ordinary prayer evening: there is no sermon, we pray and sing together. You need not stay the whole time, everyone comes for as long as they can, even for an hour. The prayer points are given on the spot and usually concern the needs of the church and of our families.

How it goes: The program is simple and given over to prayer. We listen to a short encouragement from a brother, then we pray together, and we keep that rhythm through the evening. There is no long sermon: we concentrate on prayer. Those present can also bring something for God: a song of praise, a poem, or a testimony of how God has worked in their life.

Who it is for: The rehearsal is open to the brothers and sisters of our community who wish to serve through singing.

How it goes: We meet under the direction of a conductor and work from sheet music, learning the songs in several voices. In this way we prepare the songs for the Friday and Sunday programs, and for the times we are invited to serve in other churches.

Those present can also bring something for God: a song of praise, a poem, or a testimony of how God has worked in their life. The second part is given to teaching, where a brother preaches the Word of the Lord.

Who it is for: The program is for children between 5 and 12, divided into four groups: little group 1 (5 years), little group 2 (6 and 7 years), middle group (8 and 9 years) and older group (from 10 to 12 years).

How it goes: We begin with a Bible or mission lesson suited to the age, we memorise a verse and we play recap games. After a break for play, the middle and older groups go to song rehearsals, while the youngest have practical activities, songs suited to them and handicraft. Now and then there is a snack too.
