This page explains what data we collect through betheldworp.be, why, and what you can do about it. The data controller is Pentecostal Church BETHEL Dworp, Alsembergsesteenweg 572B, 1653 Beersel, Belgium.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we keep your email address and the date you signed up, so we can send you the weekly programme. The legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. You can unsubscribe at any time using the Dezabonare link at the bottom of every newsletter — it takes effect immediately.
Visit statistics
The site stores a random identifier in your browser and records the day of your visit, the time, device type, browser language, country and city. We do not know who you are: that identifier is not linked to your name or email, the data is shared with no one and only tells us how many people visit the site. It is deleted automatically after 25 months, and the identifier is renewed every 13 months. You can decline this measurement at any time, using the button below.
Location
Country and city are derived on our server from the connection's IP address. The IP address is not stored and is not sent to any third party. On the church map, your precise position is used only if you explicitly allow it in your browser, and you can withdraw that permission there at any time. If you allow it, those exact coordinates are stored alongside your visit and erased after 25 months, like the rest of the statistics.
Contact form and church suggestions
The details you enter (name, email, phone, message) reach us so we can reply or verify a suggested church. We use them for nothing else.
Who receives the data
We use a few technical providers, each for a single purpose: Brevo (sending the newsletter), Google Firebase (database), Vercel (hosting), EmailJS (contact form) and Google Maps (maps). We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we run no advertising.
How long we keep it
Your email address stays on the list until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only the fact of the unsubscription itself, precisely so we stop writing to you. Visit statistics are erased automatically after 25 months, and the identifier kept in your browser is renewed every 13 months.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to withdraw your consent. Write to us and we will take care of it. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
