This page explains what data we collect through betheldworp.be, why, and what you can do about it. The data controller is Pentecostal Church BETHEL Dworp, Alsembergsesteenweg 572B, 1653 Beersel, Belgium.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we keep your email address and the date you signed up, so we can send you the weekly programme. The legal basis is your consent, given by submitting the form. You can unsubscribe at any time using the Dezabonare link at the bottom of every newsletter. It takes effect immediately.
Visit statistics
The site counts visits without knowing who makes them. It records only numbers: how many visits per day, from which countries and cities, on what kind of device and in which language. No identifier is stored in your browser and no exact time is noted: it is impossible to link two of your visits together, including for us. The site does store two markers in your browser: a « already counted today » flag, so you are not counted twice, and your language choice. Neither of them makes it possible to recognise you. You can still refuse to be counted, using the button below.
Location
Country and city are derived on our server from the connection's IP address. The IP address is not stored and is not sent to any third party. On the church map, your precise position is used only if you explicitly allow it in your browser: it serves to place you on the map and is never recorded. We only count how many visitors accepted or declined.
Contact form and church suggestions
The details you enter (name, email, phone, message) reach us so we can reply or verify a suggested church. We use them for nothing else.
Who receives the data
We use a few technical providers, each for a single purpose: Brevo (sending the newsletter), Google Firebase (database), Vercel (hosting the site and anonymous audience measurement), EmailJS (contact form), Google Maps (maps). The gallery videos are hosted on YouTube: their preview image comes from our own server, but if you start a video, your connection is made to YouTube. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we run no advertising.
How long we keep it
Your email address stays on the list until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only the fact of the unsubscription itself, precisely so we stop writing to you. Visit statistics, on the other hand, contain no personal data: they are only totals, they concern no one in particular, and so they have no retention period.
Your rights
Your address on the newsletter list and what you wrote to us through the form are yours: ask us to see them, correct them or erase them, and it is done. Visit statistics are not concerned. They contain nothing that relates to you. You can also contact the Data Protection Authority.
